On Friday, I noticed how quiet Clementine had become. By Friday night, I knew in my heart what the midwife and then the doctor confirmed the next day- that she was gone. I went into labor in the early hours of Saturday, and she was born at around 11pm Saturday night. We were surrounded by angels then as now.
But I'm exhausted. As soon as I can, I will post the lovely photos we have of her, and share with you the story of her birth.
Everyone has been so very good to us, and we want to express our gratitude for all the care and kindness we have received from our friends. We love you.
We love you too! Please do write, it can be very healing. I am crying buckets of paschal tears for you guys. Memory everlasting, forever eternal dear baby Anna!

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Joseph (Byztex) wrote me this evening. May Clementine's memory be eternal!
ReplyDeleteMay the peace that passes understanding surround you...I do not presume to know how you feel right now, as loss is different for everyone, but I know that you are held closely, and I know that little Saint Clementine is perfect. I can imagine her dancing with Nico at the throne of God. We love y'all, and will pray for you.
ReplyDeleteLucy. Our prayers are with you, Tony, Silas and Adalaide for the loss of sweet Clementine. I've no doubt that she will aid in increasing your already capacious strength and wisdom, bearing much fruit, just like her beautiful name. All our love and consolation, friend.
ReplyDeleteLucy, you don't know me, but Dwija (House Unseen) told me about your sweet Anna Clementine. I, too, lost a baby to a cord complication (was going to be a homebirth, too) at 40 weeks. 6 years ago our 5th baby, Fiona May, was born still after (what the doctors believe was) cord compression. We pray to our little St. Fiona every day, and today I asked her to help your little saint in comforting you and your family. Truly, there are no words that can help, but I am so sorry. I will continue to pray for all of you. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much.
